From Pre-Preparatory through to Diploma in Teaching and Management, our Gqal/Ofqual regulated examinations also support academic education and provide valuable UCAS points

Scholarships

Scholarships are open to all students who are in full time education and hold a BTDA Grade 2 Certificate in either Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz or Tap

BTDA Scholarships encourage students to develop their dance ability

Candidates will have to:

Attend one of the Scholarship days held at various locations

  • Participate in 3 Classes: one in Classical Ballet, one in Modern Jazz and one in Tap, where they will be assessed

  • Perform a solo piece in costume Have

  • Have a short interview with a BTDA Official

Successful candidates receive a financial award which is graded, and can be used for BTDA examinations and membership during the award year

The Hart award

HART Awards, named after our founder Miss Joyce Hart, are mini scholarships presented to students who show effort and dedication above and beyond expectation.

A HART award can be presented through various mediums:

  • free classes

  • Exam entry fee

  • A workshop placement

  • Costume funding

  • Competition fees
